The Family Connection: Weekly inspiration in the parish bulletin to help connect family and parish.
Mass for Expectant Families: Held annually the Sunday after Easter at the 11:00 am Mass. All expectant families who would like to participate and receive a blessing for their unborn child please call Ruth Viens 508-852-5658 or email ruthviens@charter.net.
Prayer Partners for Pregnancy: If you are pregnant and would like someone from your parish to keep you in prayer, please look for the silk roses in the Mary Chapel in the church. All you need to do is complete the information on the card attached to the rose and put the card back in the basket. A prayer partner will then be assigned to you who will pray for both you and your baby during your pregnancy. If you are not pregnant, but would like to participate, we invite you to become a prayer partner. For more information call Dolores Chisholm 508-835-1755
Baptism Prayer Sponsors: Pray for a particular family as they prepare for the baptism of their child.
Parish Lending Library: We appreciate the books that have been donated to the parish lending library. It is located in the Conference Room in the church hall. It's easy to borrow a book. Just fill out the card in the back pocket with your name and phone number and put it in the file box. Please remember to return the books when you are finished so that others may enjoy them.
The Parent Connection: This drop-in group is our parish Mothers' Group/Playgroup for moms and their infants and toddlers. Meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church hall. The morning includes a simple craft activity for moms and kids, a snack, informal time for kids to play and moms to chat with each other. We welcome moms and kids outside the parish. For more information call Pam Busha at 508-799-2235 or email pbusha@charter.net.
Grandparent Prayer Group: Grandchildren are one of the rewards of growing older, in addition to the senior discounts! In Isaiah 44:3 God told Israel, "I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your descendants." God still promises to pour out his Spirit and blessings on our descendants. Grandchildren are growing up in a world in which terrorism, abuse, hatred, violence and ware are dominating life. Our Grandparent Prayer Group gathers on the third Friday of each month at 11:00 am to pray for the safety and well-being of grandchildren. All are welcome!
The ordinary lives of
ordinary families are filled with the extraordinary -
the sacred is just around the corner. It is in family intimacy, first of all
in our families and in our friendships, that God is present and active.
Woven in and out of the ordinary lives we share are the countless
vine-like roots of the divine mystery. (Mitch and Kathy Finley)
