Directions for Advent Prayer Cube
MATERIALS NEEDED: 4x4x4” square box; copy of the Advent and Christmas prayers; crayons, colored pencils or markers; one jingle bell; glue; scissors; Christmas sticky bow or other small Christmas decorations (for top of box).
1. Color each of the four squares plus the additional Prayer for Christmas tag.
2. Cut out each square and the tag.
3. Glue each of the four prayers to the sides of the box. (It’s easier to glue the prayers on before the box is assembled)
4. Assemble the box.
5. Put the jingle bell into the box before closing it.
6 Decorate top of box - Christmas sticky bows…..artificial greenery - be creative!
7. Prayer for Feast of Christmas could be attached as a tag if desired.
The jingle bell inside the box reminds us that Jesus is the REAL present at Christmas!
The Prayer Cube is then placed on the dining room table so that the weekly Advent prayers are handy at the time of the meal and lighting of the Advent wreath.
