Catholics Going Green establishes a lifestyle of awareness surrounding care for creation and social justice. Join us as we explore the connection between our faith and the environment while fostering a care for creation, a connectedness to our neighbors locally and globally, and an understanding of environmental justice in our community. Hear from community guest speakers from the Indian Lake Watershed Association, the Mass Audubon Society, GroSolar, the Regional Environmental Council and others. Each session will include scripture readings, presentations and discussions on a diversity of environmental topics, spiritual reflection and sharing of ideas and solutions as we strive to become better stewards of God’s creation. Join us for one, some or all of the sessions: February 23; March 3, 16, 23; April 6 and 13. Each will run from 7:00-8:30 pm. Refreshments provided. It will be a journey well worth taking! For more information, contact: Annie Doyle in the Parish Office (508-853-0183; adoyle@saintgeo.com) or Eileen Charbonneau (508.853.1739; etcharb@yahoo.com).

Online Giving and the 40/40
Challenge
We have set a goal to add 40 new Online Givers by
Easter - that's one account for each of the 40 days of Lent. And as an extra
incentive, the parishioners who set up accounts during Lent will be entered into
a raffle. Consider using Online Giving. All of the collections for the next few
months are available on the website for your gift. You set the date you want the
transfer to occur for each collection. That means you can make your donation for
three or four months in less than 15 minutes. You will never have to look for
your envelope package again and you won't have to remember to write your check
or remember to bring your envelope to Church. It also helps us "Go Green" since
whenever you are ready, we will no longer send you envelopes. That saves paper
and money since the parish will no longer have to pay for the envelopes. Most of
all, using OnLine Giving helps assure a steady flow of income for our parish
which helps make us financially stable. OnLine Giving is win-win for all of us.
We will live-demo the program after all Masses the weekend of March 6/7 in the
Church Hall. For more information, come to the demonstration or contact Anne
Good at 508-853-0183 (church office) or 508-869-9982 (home) or email
agood@saintgeo.com or

Catholic Free Press
Our parish is assessed 319
copies of the Catholic Free Press - a total of $7,337. The parish is responsible
for this assessment no matter how many or how few subscriptions our parishioners
sign up for. The funds for this assessment come from the weekly offering except
for the money collected from subscriptions. Please consider renewing or
subscribing to the Free Press. Each subscription is only $23 and the paper will
be delivered weekly to your home. As always, thank you for your support of our
parish. It is greatly appreciated.
Technology Expertise Needed
Our parish has a need for resource persons who can advise us in the area of
technology for educational purposes. If you would consider sharing your
knowledge and expertise concerning the use and acquisition of computers, Smart
Boards, a Power Point projector and similar technology please call Annie Doyle
at 508-853-0183.

Trying to Please
Mama
The first woman was elected U.S. president. She called
her mom to make sure she was coming to the inauguration. "I don't know, dear.
What would I wear?" "Don't worry, Mom. I'll send a designer to help you." "But
you know I need special foods for my diet." "Mom, I'm going to be the president.
I can get you the food you need." "But how will I get there?" "I'll send a limo,
Mom. Just come!" "OK, OK, if it makes you happy." The great day came, and Mama
was seated with the future cabinet members. She nudged the man on her right.
"See that girl, the one with her hand on the Bible? Her brother's a doctor!"
